All Horses Need
BODYWORK
As horse owners we ask our horses to be athletes. We ask them to carry, lug, jump, start, stop and turn on a dime. When horses are uncomfortable in their bodies it usually presents as "attitude" in our equine. They bite when we cinch the girth, act lazy behind our leg, pick up the wrong lead, spook at everything and refuse to focus. Bodywork can fix all of this and reduce the amount of cortisol in their system and boost serotonin. Who doesn't want a happy, relazed horse?
Red/Infrared light therapy
FDA approved for arthritis and joint pain! Light wavelengths within the range of 600nm to 1000nm impact on cellular mitochondria, where energy is generated. Red and near-infrared light wavelengths increase the production of cellular energy. This increase occurs because the light wavelengths facilitate the production of cytochrome c oxidase, a protein which is essential for the creation of energy. Cytochrome c oxidase is present in nearly all species. Energized cells perform their normal functions faster and more effectively, enabling improved functioning, healing and recovery, and better overall health. There have been over 10,000 studies worldwide on red light therapy and the results are impressive.

Equine Flexion Therapy
Equine Flexion Therapy is a unique approach to aligning the equine. It was developed by equine chiropractor Dan Marcum as he felt the muscles needed to be addressed for the body to heal. EFT is NOT chiropractic and at no point are the joints loaded, hyper flexed or popped.
Instead, the horse's body is broken down into 88 different parts and each section is worked on in order to relieve unreleased muscle contractions, similar to deep tissue or shiatsu massage. After the muscle work the horse is put through several stretches and and traction motions, similar to thai floor massage, and the result is alignment.
Joanna trained in person with Dan on the mainland and he had this opinion upon her graduation:
"Joanna will go far with EFT. She has the touch. She has a nice quiet way about her that horses like and respect. It's hard to find that combination."
